WHAT TO BRING
Life Jacket
Towel
Youth and adult skis are available on my boat, but bring your own if you have them (best to learn on the equipment you will use on your own time).
 
WHAT NOT TO BRING ON THE BOAT
Spray sunscreen -- It gets all over the boat.  Please apply any sunscreen prior to getting on the boat
Shoes -- if you wear shoes on the dock, please remove them prior to stepping into the boat
Water -- I will have a cooler of bottled water on the boat
Cell phones -- cell phones and water don’t make a great combination.  I will have mine with me if anything urgent arises
 
OTHER NOTES:
I strive to take pictures during the lesson.  I will make these available within a week after the lesson.
The duration of the lesson depends on the number of students. One skier: 45 minutes (minimum of 30 minutes). Two skiers: 1 hour.  Three skiers: 90 minutes, Four skiers: 2 hours.  Please come to the boat prior to the lesson and we will confirm the targeted completion time.
WEATHER:  
If there is inclement weather, I will contact you.  I prefer to not teach in the rain.
If there is any visible lightning, the lesson will end immediately.
If we cancel due to rain, we will reschedule free of charge.
If the lesson is ended early due to lightning, we will reschedule the remaining time free of charge (or add time to an additional lesson).
WIND is not a reason for rescheduling.  The beauty about Prior Lake is that no matter the direction of the wind, there is always a calm area where we can ski.  
PARENTS ON THE BOAT:
From my experience, new skiers do better without parents on the boat.  If there is only one skier who is learning for the first time, then I prefer that the parents remain on shore, and if possible, I will pick up the parent half way through the lesson if they really want to be there.  However, depending on location of where we are teaching, it may not be feasible.
